Thanks, BooCat. She quit eating Tuesday & the vet & I discussed this morning whether to put her down today, or whether - mainly to give me time to better come to terms with it - to wait until tomorrow morning. Fortunately I decided on tomorrow. Early afternoon, she snapped out of it, scarfed down two bowls of food, and within the hour was rushing up and down the front balcony, screaming with rage at a neighbour's sheltie, who she hates! What to say? Prognosis dire, of course, but every extra good day is a gift.
Becky looks like a dear, sweet girl. I am so very sorry, Lapin. You will both be in my prayers.
